The Lorraine Beitler Collection of the Dreyfus Affair is housed in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library of the University of Pennsylvania. The Collection is open to researchers, students, and members of the public. In addition, staff members of the Library are happy to arrange for class sessions using Collection materials and to consult with teachers regarding student research projects.
The Collection consists of over one thousand items in a variety of formats (full cataloguing is not yet complete). In addition, the Rare Book Collection contains significant complementary holdings of primary and secondary source material on nineteenth- and early twentieth-century France. The Center for Advanced Judaic Studies also contains numerous books and periodicals related to the Dreyfus Affair.
We encourage those who wish to use the Collection to familiarize themselves with the Collection Description and to contact John Pollack, Public Services Specialist, or Lynne Farrington, Curator of Printed Books, with any inquiries. Appointments to view the Collection, while not required, are recommended. For further information, please phone (215) 898-7088.
