This lesson uses a series of six Dreyfus-era political postcards to teach students how the use of political postcards revolutionized common people's ability to express political thought.The six primary sources are:

All students will be given copies the six postcards and asked for their reactions to them. Then they will be asked to thoroughly examine one that has been assigned to their group and report on their findings. The files you will need are listed below individually and they are in the PDF format.  You may download and print them or view them onlne, whichever scenario is most appropriate for your classroom setting. Optionally, you can download a zipped version of the PDF files or a zipped version of the files in an editable MS Word format. You can also dowload a zipped version of the facsimiles of the two primary source images used above.
